Archaeological Weblogs

The Archaeology in Europe News Blog was started in December 2003. The purpose of the blog is simply to provide easily accessible, up-to-date news of archaeology in Europe.

In August 2007, the Viking Archaeology Blog was started. The original purpose of this blog was to provide a news source for students take the University of Oxford’s online course:

The popularity of the Viking Archaeology Blog led to the creation of the
Anglo-Saxon Archaeology Blog in January 2008, and the Medieval Warfare Blog in November 2008.

In June 2009, two new blogs were added: the Prehistoric Archaeology Blog and the
Roman Archaeology Blog.

All of these blogs have their own RSS feeds. (What is RSS?)
